Fall So Far

Hello All!  I thought I'd pop by and say hi and share what D family has been up to lately.  Just to forwarn you, this will be a lengthy post with lots of pictures!

To be honest this fall has had some good times and some not so good times.  But I absolutely LOVE this time of year so even the bad things that have popped up lately haven't ruined it :)

Since I want to end on a positive note, I will start with some of the things that have been not pleasant lately.  Nothing catastrophic but just unpleasant.  Since I last posted, poor Noah has had 2 ear infections :(.  Poor guy.  I'm just praying that he doesn't continue getting them because I don't want the tubes to have to be put in his ears.  He seemed to get better and then just last week he had 3 diapers with blood in them.  Definitely FREAKED this mama out!  Luckily he was tested for the C Diff bacteria from being on antibiotics and it came back negative.  He hasn't had one since, so we're thinking it was a stomach thing or a little tear that's all better.  But he did get a cold or bug around then that's slowly going away.  Poor guy.  I'm hoping he gets better and stays healthy for a long while after this.

Just the other day I went to the store and went to use my debit card and it wouldn't go through and the cashier said I'm suppose to call the bank.  Confused, I called my hubby to see if he knew what was going on because I know we had money in there.  He checked our account online and someone had wiped our account clean :(.  Yikes!  I called the bank and canceled my debit card and since the deductions are pending, there's nothing the bank can do at this point.  So I'm playing the watching and waiting game to see if they post.  If they do, then I need to go to the bank and file an investigative form and from what I was told, " We'll see if we can get your money back.".  Not something I want to hear around the holidays.  We'll see if we can get it back?  No I better be getting my money back!  I'm just praying that the pends just disappear and our money is safely back into our account.

Now for the good news for D Family.

My sis came up to visit the middle of October with her family.  I was so excited because instead of just her and my neice Caitlynn, it was the entire family including my brother in law, youngest neice Camrynn, and nephew Gary.  We had such a good time.  Noah became attached to me and clung to me for the first day they were here, but shortly after, he was all over the place and playing with his cousins and reading books with his aunt Becki and Uncle Gary! :)  We even had an early turkey dinner since we can't spend Thanksgiving together.

We took a trip to Mount Washington since my brother in law hadn't been there yet.

Noah and Aunt Becki!

Little Cami!  I just love this little peanut!

She loved rubbing uncle Andy's buzzed head lol

Cousin Kisses!

Noah has slowly progressed to standing on his own and cruising at full speed while holding onto someone or something.  It's just a matter of time until he is walking/running.  Pretty much he's just being chicken right now...just like his daddy was at his age :)

And for the sake of Halloween here's a picture that cracks me up.  Not exactly Halloween themed, but somewhat spooky and it made me chuckle.

D Family also had a great Halloween.  While we took our little boy trick or treating, Andy's sisters who decided they were too old to go out anymore, stayed at our house to pass out candy.  I don't have a picture of it, but I put up some spookie decorations in our mudroom for the trick or treaters to walk through.

And here's our little dragon!

His cousin was a little monkey.  Noah would not loosen his grip on the glow stick we gave him.

D Family before going trick or treating!

We had good weather but it was still chilly so we didn't stay out too long. Noah just cruised along in his little car.

Andy and I didn't dress up on Halloween, but we did go to the Halloween party at the Spalding Inn where Jason and Grant from Ghost Hunters were.  For some reason I don't have the pictures uploaded on here yet so I will have to show you what we were later.  The party was a blast and it was so nice to get out and spend some good time together while nana and papa watched our little boy.

So that's about it so far!  I hope you all have a great rest of fall and a great Thanksgiving.  Eat lots of food and spend lots of good quality time with those you love! :)

An Unwanted BUT Needed Break

I've been circling around this idea and didn't want to do it.  But I need to for now. It has been a long time coming but I've been procrastinating it pretty much all summer.  This past year has been hectic and crazy and I've still been trying to manage organizing and catching up on things and have only been mildly successful.

I haven't been able to blog like I want and it isn't for lack of interest in doing so.  Mostly lack of time.  Lack of time to do anything creative, lack of time to snap enough pictures to capture special moments, lack of time to visit other blogs and to put together as good of posts as I would like.  I can blame it on my crazy horomones which have shown their ugly face these past few months, or all the craziness that happens around me, or just my inability to better time manage.  Whatever it is I need to figure it out and refocus.  I'm not saying this is a year long or even 6 month long break.  Just a short break to in a way regroup until I can better focus and get my act together so to speak.

This is one of D Family's ultimate favorite times of the year, aka the months that end in ber lol, with the holidays approaching and I just want to spend as much time with my men, family, and enjoying the season.  Of course with it being the most exciting time of the year, I do want to share those fun special holiday memories, crafts, baking, shopping sprees, parties, you name it with all of you.  But in an effort to create better posts without stressing out about time, I'm going to take a slight break from the blogging world.  I will check in on your blogs from time to time and maybe make a post once in a while.  I'm just eliminating any stress about doing so.  And I don't want to post unless I feel like it's a good one.

I don't know if this will just be a month, 2, or 3 but I plan to be back before the New Year.  I just know I need to regroup.  I have always been into crafts, prims, and decorating.  I've just not had the time or energy to do much of anything in a very long time.  I'd like to incorporate more of that into my blog as well.

I hope you wonderful ladies whom I have met in this great blog world will understand.  I can't wait until I really come back and get to see what all everyone's been up to.  I hope you all have some great times and memories in these next few months.  Remember to make time to enjoy the holidays with those special people in your life :)

Autumn Off The Green

D Family had a great weekend and I hope everyone else did too!

Every year on the first Sunday in October, our town hosts a fall Octoberfest type of event called Autumn on the Green.  Well currently, there's a lot of road work and landscaping work going on where the green is.  So it was hosted on the town's school grounds to which the nickname Autumn off the Green was made up.  Either next year or the year after it should be back where it belongs.

It was a chilly day yesterday, but there were still a good amount of vendors and visitors.  This is just a view of one strip of tents.  At the end of this strip to the right were more and a ton more down the hill at the end.

Noah seemed to have a good time and was all bundled up with his monster hat.  He was such a good boy!  Hubby and I love to get some delicious food at these types of things.  We also got some Vermont made fresh apple cider...YUM!

Since Noah is an animal lover, he loved these Alpacas.  He was talking to them in his baby voice which usually has the most understandable words being dad and dat (that).

While I always enjoy all of the homemade crafts.  I just LOVED these chairs which I called rag chairs.  The lady made them out of any leftover material she had.  I thought these were amazing and she had them in all styles and colors.  I even tested it out and sat in it and it was very study.  These were definitely my favorite item I saw there.

Now it's back to work for me.  I hope everyone has a great rest of the day and week!

Yesterday was mine and Andy's Anniversary.  These are what he had waiting on the counter for me for when I came home!  He's such a sweetie :)

Harvest Gatherings Swap!

I was recently in an extremely fun swap which was hosted by Amy from Bumble Bee Lane.  My partner was Cindi from Cindi's Primitive Country Corner.  I have to appoligize because I'm a little late on my posting.

She spoiled me so so much!  Here's a peak at what she got me below!
A candle mat with pumpkins and flowers and 2 AMAZINGLY smelling candles!  I've already starting burning my candles and I have to say they make the house smell heavenly!  She also got me a twig pumpkin which is so cute, a sunflower wall plaque, and can I just express how ridiculously cute those 2 turkey sitters are? :)  A box with paper which will be perfect for writing our grocery list.  Right now we write everything down on the chalkboard or dry erase board and take a picture of it with our phone to take to the store with us...I know lame lol.  And finally...
This adorable scarecrow couple!  Andy knew exactly when I opened these two because I believe I made the most joyous noise.  I bought some scratch tickets earlier that day and he thought I'd hit the lottery jackpot lol.  Maybe not the lottery but definitely the fall jackpot!  Thanks so much Cindi for the gifts and Amy for this swap. Everything is just WONDERFUL and has quickly found their fall homes already! :)

Our Recent Visitors

Happy Hump Day!

D family has recently entertained some very important and special guests for toddler D's Birthday.  I already mentioned my amazing friend Michelle, but we also had my parents (or as Noah knows them as mamaw and pap).  He was in such a great mood from seeing everyone, even considering he had an ear infection :(

I'm pretty sure my parents were equally excited to see their handsome man as well.  You wouldn't have even been able to tell that he's only seen them a total of 3-4 times.  He was truely spoiled with attention!

He loved playing with my dad!  I must mentioned that my dad was originally going to be called papaw.  As toddler D and papaw were playing puzzles, Noah didn't seem to like it when papaw put the puzzle together when he was trying so desperately hard to take it apart to bang the pieces together.  So everytime papaw put it together, Noah exclaimed, "Baba dada mama blahblahblah PAP!".  I think he was trying to tell him that he was doing it wrong...So cute! :)  So now my dad is just "pap" instead of "papaw".

I think I have seriously gained a ton of weight from all of the good food I ate while they were here.  Between my mom's southern cooking and eating out, I may have moved up a pant size lol.  Noah was of course our dinner time source of entertainment.  This is him making him "angry face" which is always followed by toddler D going, "haha haha haha".

And everytime we have company, a trip to mine and AnDy's ultimate favorite spot, Mt. Washington Hotel and Resort,is in order.  We always have to share our story of how we met there while pointing out exact locations of where D family's story started.  I can't wait until the day we can tell Noah our story there when he will actually understand and remember :)

It was a slightly windy and cool fall day which made it perfect!

The views in the back of the hotel are absolutely AMAZING!!!

It was such a great, relaxing, and enjoyable time!  I wish I could have all of the people I love and care about up here with me all the time.  But since they can't, I will enjoy every ounce of time I can when I do see them.  In the meantime, we can enjoy our skyping sessions.

Now I must leave you with a crazy picture of me and some cute pictures of toddler D eating puzzle pieces!  I hope everyone has a great second half of the week!
